The company was founded in 1976 by Claudio Torno, current owner and president, for the production of prepregs and dielectric laminates.
In 1979 the production of advanced composites began using carbon fibers, aramid fibers and glass fibers with special matrices based on epoxy and phenolic resins. In 1995 began the production of ballistic prepregs.
In 2004 Impregnatex Compositi obtained the certification of the management of the quality system ISO 9001: 2000 No. 163490 and in 2015 No. 223033 by BVQI. Since its foundation Impregnatex Compositi works respecting the environment and optimizes the production process to reduce emissions of volatile substances.

Impregnatex nowadays has the best industrial technologies to impregnate fabrics from 20 to 1300 g/m2. The main types of fabrics that Impregnatex processes are: carbon, glass, aramid fabrics, natural fibers and hybrid fabrics. The technologies used are the impregnation for Dipping and impregnation through filming with On and / or Offline coupling.
Ricerca e sviluppo, un vero connubio
Impregnatex has a modern equipped laboratory where it carries out the R&D and quality control activities that characterize a lean and qualified pre and post sales service. The laboratory has a modern autoclave and an instrumentation that allows thermal and thermomechanical analyses (DSC-DMA), rheometric analysis, viscosimetric analysis in scanning, FT-IR analysis, mechanical tests with strain gages analysis.
In 2017 Impregnatex started the production of prepregs made by recycled carbon fibers and prepregs made by natural fibers, a challenge also aimed to the protection of the environment.
